Dreams December 2002
I was staying at my grandmother's house for Christmas.  Suddenly a man I didn't know came into her dining room and held a gun to me.  He told me not to move until he came back.  I was completely terrified, but I did as he said.  Calvin had also been staying at my grandmother's house, but he was leaving so that he could go home and spend Christmas with his family.  He walked into the dining room and began saying goodbye to me, but I was too afraid to tell him what was really happening.  I could see the man with the gun through the dining room window.  Calvin gave me a hug and then left.  I was so afraid and so sad to say goodbye to him.  Immediately after he left I grabbed my cell phone and called the police.  Then I saw the man with the gun coming back to my grandmother's house.  He barged into the room and said that he had seen me hug Calvin and saw me pick up my cell phone.  I tried to deny his allegations, but the man didn't care.  He shot me multiple times in the chest and I collapsed to the floor.  Just as my vision became blurry I saw him leave my grandmother's house.  I wondered why he had only wanted to shoot me.  I thought that I was going to die, yet I could feel no pain from the gunshot wounds.  A short time later I was still lying on the floor and realized that I wasn't really that wounded, so I got up and went to the kitchen where my mother and grandmother began asking me what I wanted to have for dinner.  Then I realized that I was going to have to enter the witness protection program because I had reported the man with the gun for a crime and as a result he had come to retaliate.

"Art Appreciation"
I was standing in a very beautiful bathroom in the upstairs part of Ms. Huntington's house. She showed me art which was leaning against the side of a large garden bathtub.  We talked about fictional non-fiction, which was apparently a new movement in the field of art.  She had acted as if I wouldn't know what it was, but I told her that I had been discussing it with another woman.  Ms. Huntington she said she was joking and that the movement didn't actually exist.  I felt very confused and politely excused myself to go downstairs.  I saw that Karen was downstairs, who was Ms. Huntington's daughter. Karen was dating a boy I knew when I was younger, but she wanted to hide that fact from her mother. Then her mother came downstairs and realized the two had been dating, but I told Mrs. Huntington not to worry because they boy her daughter was dating was a good boy.

"Diabetic Emergency and Lockjaw"
I walked home from school and found that my mother was home.  She started to talk to me, but then I realized that I was having some sort of diabetic attack.  I called 911 and when someone answered I seemed unsure of whether I had dialed the right number, so I asked.  The person said that I had dialed the right number, but as I tried to explain my emergency I began to suffer from lockjaw.  I couldn't open my mouth enough to speak properly.  I asked my mother to talk to the 911 operator, but my mother was very unhelpful; she didn't even give my address.  I waited outside for emergency workers to come.  The police drove by several times, but they never stopped at my house.  I wondered if they didn't know where I lived because my mother never gave them my address.

"Attack of the Lawyers"
A group of students were gathered in a very old high school gymnasium.  They all appeared to be dressed in physical education uniforms.  One of the girls was roaming around on the bleachers while screaming and hitting other students.  I wondered why she was behaving that way because I knew that the students who were being attacked would sue her.  Then I looked over to an office door on the side of the gym.  I realized that lawyers were meeting in that room and that they supported her attack.

"Lost Girl on the Metrorail"
A friend and I were leaving school to go on vacation.  I was having trouble packing and was afraid that I wouldn't finish packing so that I could live on time.  My friend and I ended up leaving at night by Metrorail.  I was very scared because I am afraid of heights and the Metrorail was very high above the city.  Additionally, there were no seats or handrails in any of the cars so my friend and I sat on our luggage.  After a few stops the train arrived at the airport and my friend left to catch his flight.  As the train continued on I noticed that I was now the only person in that particular car, but I saw a little girl in the next car.  She was the only passenger in that car, so I went to that car to see if she needed any help.  She told me that she was lost and needed help finding her mother who worked at the university.  We rode the Metrorail to the university where her mother was standing in the parking lot.  The woman said that she had been so worried and thanked me for helping her daughter return safely.  I realized I wouldn't be able to go on vacation until the next day because I had spent so much time helping the girl find her mother.

"Lucid Dream: Flying"
I was at school with some friends of mine, but we went to a basement area.  The room had many windows with light streaming brightly through them.  I realized that I had been inside this room before and it was not part of the school.  I realized the room had been a room in a former neighbor's house.  That is when I realized I was dreaming.  I decided that I wanted to try to make myself fly.  As I stood there I began to levitate above the carpet and decided that it felt like it must feel to be on the moon.  My body could very easily float above the ground with just a small push, however I eventually would float back to the ground.  Flying was extremely fun, but I decided that I wanted to try other things.  All of my friends were no longer in the room, so I tried to make people appear.  I could not successfully make anyone appear in this room and decided I was too tired to continue thinking about it.

"The Most Beautiful Song"
Lani, another girl, and I were at the golf course where I used to go running.  A Japanese millionaire had decided to build a racetrack through the middle of the course.  My Friends and I stood by and watched the cars speed past us.  I left my friends and walked up a grassy hill where there were two other people.  There was a girl there who was singing the most beautiful song I've ever heard.  She was not such a great singer, and I couldn't distinguish the words, but I knew that she was singing the song to the boy that was there with her.  It was as if her spellbinding song was pleading with the boy to love her, but he refused.  I began crying because I realized that I wanted to sing this song to one of my friends because I felt as if he no longer loved me, yet I knew that the result for me would be the same as it was for the girl.

"He Satisfied His Curiosity by Performing a Science Experiment on Me"
A friend of mine invited me to visit him.  When I met him he asked me if I could help him with a project, so I agreed to do it.  He was performing a science experiment and needed to draw blood from someone.  I, like most people, am not too fond of having blood drawn, so I closed my eyes and waited for him to insert the needle into my arm.  Instead he inserted the needle into my right temple.  I was mildly annoyed that he had failed to tell me that he would be sticking a needle into my head, but I kept my complaints to myself.  Suddenly he attempted to switch the test tubes and spilled my blood all over me.  I screamed at him to withdraw the needle.  He did, but I continued screaming at him.  He looked bewildered, but only offered weak apologies.  I seriously wanted to hurt him.  I pushed him away from me, but I could tell by the look in his eyes that his experiment was now complete; his curiosity about me had been satisfied.

"Owner of a Hotel/Condominium"
I was walking through the city in which I live when I passed a beautiful tan hotel which had small strings of gold lights wrapped around the balconies and was surrounded by trees.  The hotel was built between two large hills and was several stories high but was the same height as the trees.  It reminded me of what an enchanted forest must be like.  I decided that the building was so beautiful that I wanted to buy it and make some of the rooms into condos.  I spoke with the current owner and he agreed to sell it to me.  Immediately I began speaking with architects, who were helping me plan how to arrange the rooms.  I decided that I would only rent to people after personally interviewing them and that I probably would not rent to college students, even though I had just graduated from college myself, because I thought college students would be too disrespectful to the other people who lived there.  I decided that I would live in a large suite in the center of the hotel, which had one of the most beautiful balconies which was nestled between the trees and strung with golden lights.

"Hot Air Balloon Ride"
I was in a French town with Calvin.  I think we were looking for my mother.  We went on a hot air balloon ride over the city with an old woman who gave rides to tourists.  I was completely terrified by the whole experience because I am afraid of heights.  Both Calvin and the woman did not seem to understand.  The woman looked at me as if I were crazy, and Calvin chuckled and smiled and walked closer to me in the basket.  I screamed at him to go to the other side, where he had been standing, because if he continued moving toward me  the balance of the basket would be off.  He didn't listen, continued standing near me, and put his arm around my waist.  I was trembling uncontrollably.  Finally the balloon landed and I quickly made an excuse to leave.  I knew that Calvin and the woman knew it was an excuse because I was afraid.  They were going to continue riding over the city as soon as I left.
