"Going Shopping for Diego with Waldo"    10/30/04
I was staying at my grandmother's house and decided to take a nap, but I couldn't because as I walked around her house there were beds everywhere, filled with all of my relatives.  I decided to go to the mall instead.  The mall parking lot was pretty empty, so as I was deciding where to park I saw Waldo in his car.  He was driving an old convertible that looked as if it were from the 1950s or '60s.  I felt nervous having him watch me park.  All of the spots that were close to the mall required parallel parking at a meter.  Despite the lack of other cars, I still found this task difficult.  I was so excited to see Waldo and really just wanted to park and go see him.  Eventually I parked and Waldo and I went into the mall to buy a birthday present for Diego.  Waldo said that when we finished shopping we could go over to his house to hang out.  I was so excited about this, but I also felt a little awkward because I was just so hyper in general.  We went into a store and looked at ties.  I picked up two ties for Diego.  One tie was red with gray dots on it and the other was gray with gray dots.  The line was very long, but as we got up to the register there was a display with animated ties in the impulse purchase section.  I decided that the two ties I was holding were ugly and decided that Diego definitely needed an animated tie.  There was one tie that looked like the Republican wolf ad and another that had an animated Mariah Carey on it.  I told Waldo and the cashier that I needed more time.  Waldo responded that I shouldn't let him influence me.  I was embarrassed because I realized he probably knew that I was rushing through tie shopping so that we could go to his house sooner.


"House of Horrors"    10/27/04
I was visiting my parents, but every time I walked down a hallway red printed words would appear on the walls.  These messages were often grammatically incorrect and vague but scary.  When I looked away and looked back a new message would appear.  All of the messages seemed to indicate that something bad was going to happen to me.  I knew that someone was causing these messages to be displayed and that was the same person who was trying to hurt me.  Then the name of Candelario's workplace was mentioned in one of the threats and then I knew he was the person who was trying to hurt me.  I felt completely terrified because I didn't know how he was getting the words to appear on the walls or how he had found out where I was.  I felt as if he was going to jump out at any moment and torture and/or kill me.  I began screaming and my mother came over, but I was having difficulty explaining exactly what was happening.  It seems as if she didn't believe me.  Her disbelief was at least partially due to my lack of details.  I knew very little about Candelario, so even if I had been able to speak properly, there wasn't much information to go on.  All of this made me feel even more terrified because I knew that had been his plan all along.



"Candelario Wins the Lottery"    10/27/04
Candelario won the lottery, so I went with him to pick up the large cardboard check that would be awarded at the press conference.  He only won about $5,000, but I decided to go because I knew that his address would be printed on the check and I could memorize that information to learn something about him.  He probably thought I was going with him either because I wanted him to share the money with me, but I really just wanted to watch the proceedings.  He walked onto the stage with a big smile and looked directly at me as he held the check.  I was disappointed that his address was not printed anywhere on the check.


"Murderous Girlfriends"    10/22/04
Louis' ex-girlfriend and his current girlfriend knocked on my door and told me that we were going to have dinner together.  A few minutes later someone else knocked on the door and they opened it to reveal Louis.  I asked the girlfriends in private why they had invited him.  I hadn't talked to Louis in a long time and wouldn't really have considered him to be a friend, and one of them was obviously his ex for a reason.  They showed me knives and screwdrivers which they had hidden around my apartment to use as weapons to kill Louis with.  I told all of them that they had to collect their belongings and leave.  The girls went around the apartment pretending to collect the weapons, but then I realized they were just plotting to kill me in my own apartment before they would later kill Louis.  I took my cell phone and ran to the apartment of my aunt and uncle, who convenient lived in the same building as I.  I attempted to call 911, but my cell phone was not working.  My uncle offered to lend me his, but his phone was not working either.  Eventually I ran to my parents' apartment, also in the same building, but they didn't seem to understand why I was so terrified.


"Video of Horrors and the Zebra Butterfly"    10/20/04
My family and I lived in the US, but it was a country torn apart by natural disasters and war.  Our house was muddy and flooded.  A military tank drove through one of our walls and projected a video onto one of the walls left standing.  Each video segment showed either a terror which had occurred or one which might occur, narrated by an electronic voice.  One video segment showed me what would happen if the US destroyed everything in Argentina.  All that was left was dried red clay and remnants of military equipment.  I couldn't stand to watch any more of these videos, so I commanded the tank to leave our house.  Just after this a gigantic butterfly landed on a tree branch, which was now hanging down into our house.  This butterfly had wings which were blue on the outer edges and green toward the center, however, the body had black and white stripes like a zebra and the whole insect was the size of a very large bird.  This was by far the most beautiful yet strangest creature I'd ever seen.


"Race to Win an Outfit"    10/18/04
Several other girls and I were in a house early in the morning.  There might not have been electricity in this house, but there was something like a reality TV show contest happening there.  The host-like person informed us that we would have to run into the next room and pick out an outfit.  When I ran into the room I was able to pick out a pink skirt and jacket with a pink rose pin on it.  I was so excited, but then I found out that the skirt was a size 2 and the waist was really the size of one of my legs.



"Meeting Chyna"    10/17/04
I think I was on a school fieldtrip that involved a tour of a museum.  Everyone was waiting to go into a particular room to meet the former WWF star Chyna.  My brother had possibly already gone into the room, so I begged the tour guide to let me skip ahead in the line.  She did, but when I entered the room only a young blonde boy and Chnya were there.  The boy was obviously a big fan of hers and was asking to take a picture with her.  Chyna seemed very tired and sad and maybe slightly angry.  She turned to me and asked how they should pose, so I suggested that she pose bench pressing the boy.  She frowned but did so.  I wondered why she was so unhappy.


"Thinking About Smoking with Edward and Neil"    10/13/04
I was at some kind of bar with Edward and Neil.  It was a very interesting place because there were some kind of special effects that made the roof look like it were on fire.  Everyone was smoking and drinking and having a good time.  I was offered a Marlboro by either Edward or Neil, but I declined because I had never smoked before and did not want to face the embarrassment of coughing and choking in front of them.  Besides, I decided that smoking regular cigarettes seemed unappealing.  I determined that I should leave the club and buy menthol cigarettes to smoke at home.  I closed my eyes and imagined the minty burning feeling in the back of throat.  I took a deep breath and felt very relaxed, but when I opened my eyes the bar was empty except for me and the DJ.  I had no idea where Edward, Neil, or all of the other patrons had gone.


"Meeting for Coffee"    10/11/04
Karen's mother and I were leaving a park at Key Largo in the early evening.  I told her that she should avoid processed foods the same way that I do and that I never felt so alive as I did after giving up caffeine.  She didn't seem to believe me, but as we parted I encouraged her to give it a try and warned her about the initial sluggish period of withdrawal for about a week after giving caffeine up cold turkey.  As I was driving home I got a call from Louis asking if I wanted to meet up for coffee.  Despite my recent suggestions to Karen's mother about the evils of caffeine, I agreed to meet Louis downtown in half an hour.  Somehow I was going to be able to drive from Key Largo to the downtown portion of a large city in that period of time.  About twenty minutes later I was almost to the coffee shop where we'd planned to meet when I got another call from Louis.  He told me that he wouldn't be able to meet me until two hours later.  I debated what to do because I apparently lived far away from downtown.  I decided that I would meet him after going to school first.  When I asked him for an explanation for the delay he didn't seem to have one, and this worried me.  I felt as if he were hiding something.


"Strawberries vs. Coconuts"    10/10/04
I was naked at school and getting dressed in a classroom.  Edward's roommate, Neil, and Neil's assistant were in the room watching me.  Another boy had told Edward's roommate that I live my life depriving myself because I live without eating eggs, without having a home phone, and without wearing cologne.  However, this boy was mistaken because I do eat eggs and do wear cologne.  I noticed that Edward's roommate had a bottle of CK One Summer, so being an avid CK One fan, I attempted to flirt with him based on that as I got dressed.  I tried to put on some underwear, but I noticed that this underwear was basically pink and green men's underwear with Strawberries printed on it.  I was embarrassed enough by this, but then I couldn't seem to put it on because I put both of my legs through the same leg hole.  Edward's roommate said he likes strawberries, but then Neil's assistant said that he likes coconuts better.  I looked over at Neil waiting for him to cast the tie-breaking vote, but he just flashed me a huge smile.



"Miserable Marriage Without a Proper Ring"    10/09/04
I was in my old bedroom at my parents' house with my mother.  She was helping me pack up all of my belongings.  As we were packing I looked at my hand and saw that I was wearing a small gold ring on my left ring finger that featured two small garnets and two small diamonds.  I realized that I was married to someone who was both J and Neil and that I was packing to move into my husband's house.  I felt so disappointed that he never gave me a real diamond engagement ring or a real wedding band.  I could hear my husband yelling in the other room and I knew that we were headed for an unhappy marriage and possibly divorce.  



"Accused of Being Homeless at Home Depot"    10/09/04
I decided to start on a home improvement project, so I went to Home Depot.  I spent such a long time looking at products there.  Eventually Ursula came over because she worked at the convenience store across the street.  She was going to give me advice about what items to buy, but then her supervisor came into Home Depot and yelled at her.  So Ursula told me to sit there and wait and she would come back during her break from work.  I waited for the longest time, but Ursula never came back, so I decided to leave the store and come back at another time that was more convenient for her to help me.  As I walked out of the store, a group of people in suits stopped me and accused me of being homeless and loitering inside Home Depot.  I asked who they were and they told me that they were a sting team to catch homeless loiterers.  I had to explain the whole story to them, but I still don't think they believed me.


"Bad Cell Phone Luck"    10/06/04
It all started when Jillian called me on my cell phone.  I didn't really want to talk to her, but I decided I would if she apologized for being extremely rude to me during an earlier phone call.  She began rattling on and on about her life, but she never apologized.  Finally, she stopped talking and I was going to tell her not to call me anymore, but as I tried to say the words, my voice cracked.  I never actually was able to tell her, so instead I said that I had to go and hung up.  I was at my parents' house, and they were having guests I didn't particularly like, so I went out into the back yard and got into a yellow tent that was set up there.  Soon after I was inside, the tent collapsed and the plastic sheeting around me reminded me of what it must feel like to be in a body bag.  I lay there for a long time until I heard people coming out into the yard.  I attempted to unzip the tent and get out, but I struggled until finally my cousin unzipped it for me.  She told me that we were all going out to dinner, so I needed to get ready.  I didn't really want to go out, but I agreed anyway.  Later we were all at a mall, taking an escalator to the restaurant where we would eat.  Some blonde lady who was obviously one of my parents' friends began asking me who I was going to date.  I was kind of shocked by her question.  As I was thinking about the answer I accidentally dropped my cell phone over the edge of the escalator railing.  My phone crashed to the sidewalk below, buttons and other parts flying everywhere.  We went down there to retrieve the parts, but as I tried to put my phone back together the woman told me that we were in a hurry to see Edward for stock advice.  Eventually I met with Edward and he gave me advice about stocks, but then he made some comment about how he couldn't give me really good advice because he invests in the stock market and to tell me anything about his investing practices would violate the attorney-client privilege.  I thought this was weird since Edward was an attorney and was using his own money to invest in stocks.  I wondered if he considered himself a client of his own services.  I met up with my parents' friends again and we went back outside, but suddenly I dropped my cell phone through a metal grate in the street.  The cell phone I dropped this time was a phone I bought about three years ago.  I guess I had resorted to using it after dropping the newer cell phone from the escalator.  Then my friend Candelario came up and was trying to help retrieve the phone.  Eventually we abandoned the phone and went to dinner, but there was an awkward moment when I was spoon-feeding him from food on my plate.  I felt like his mother.



"The Girl Who Would Rather Die Miserably"    10/03/04
Zach Braff, from Scrubs on NBC, and some other guy with him were in an urban area and wearing what could have been military uniforms.  The other guy handed Zach Braff a bandana, but Zach became hesitant.  To me it seemed like putting on the bandanas symbolized that they were going to do something evil.  They were standing near several large metal train trestles when suddenly the trestles began collapsing and trains were splitting open and falling into heaps.  I decided that either this was a horrible engineering accident or a terrorist attack.  Suddenly Zach Braff and the other guy jumped into action, trying to save people.  The other guy reached down into a pile of rubble and offered his hand to a girl so that she could escape.  She stared at him in contempt and didn't move.  I realized that this girl would rather die miserably than to ever accept help.



"Visiting Edward"    10/01/04
I made and appointment with my doctor, but upon arriving I realized that my doctor's office was right beside the office where Edward worked.  I went to my doctor's office and then left to go to the office building to see if I could find Edward.  When I entered the building I decided that they must have done some remodeling because I couldn't seem to find Edward's office.  The whole building looked like a hotel.  After passing through the lobby I was standing in a large dining area with an elevator in the center.  I recognized some of the people in the room and decided that even if I couldn't find Edward I should look for Neil.  I moved toward the elevator, but just as I entered my friend Abigail stepped in.  She told me that she had been shopping and that I should join her.  I told her that I couldn't until after I'd said hi to Edward and Neil.  The elevator doors closed and Abigail pushed a button that was labeled 1-4.  I screamed because the elevator began a downward plunge.  I was floating in the air between the elevator floor and ceiling as I screamed at her that she should have known the 1-4 button was for the basement.  Eventually we got back to the first floor of the building and I stepped out of the elevator as quickly as I could.  I then realized that I forgot to make a co-pay at my doctor's office and that I had just walked out.  I told Abigail that I couldn't talk to her because I was too busy.  I began running toward the door so that I could return to my doctor's office when I saw Neil coming down the stairs into the dining room.  I smiled and asked if he'd seen Edward.  Neil had not seen Edward, so I rushed back to my doctor, only to realize in the parking lot that I never was examined by the doctor because I decided to find Edward first.  But by now about four or five hours had passed and it was too late to request an exam.
