"Planning a Group Project in My Movie Theater"    03/30/02
I had just had just had a home built for myself.  I chose everything the way that I wanted it.  I even had one room that was my own movie theater.  I walked into my house for the first time.  Everything was so beautiful.  I walked to the theater room.  It had an electric door.  I wondered if I would get stuck inside the room if the electricity went out.  I practiced opening and shutting the door with voice commands.  It was so cool.  But when I got inside the theater I saw that it was much bigger than I had wanted it to be.  There were many other people in my theater.  It seemed as if they were on some kind of sightseeing tour.  I sat down beside some girls who were in one of my classes.  The girl sitting to my right apologized that her cell phone was ringing.  After she finished her phone conversation she told me that she had to leave.  She asked if we could exchange phone numbers so that we could work on a group project for class together.  She told me her phone number, but I wrote it down incorrectly.  She told it to me again.  I asked her for the area code.  She said she didn't know what it was for sure.  I said I needed to know because I lived in the dorms and have to dial the area code for all calls off campus.  It was kind of strange that I owned a gigantic house in Miami and still lived in the dorms.  The girl told me that the area code was not 404 like most numbers.  She said the area code for her phone number was either 505 or 501.  I wondered why the girl thought the area code for most numbers was 404.  That is the area code for Atlanta.  I also wondered why her area code was not 305, since she lived in Miami.  I could tell it would be a long group project.

"Remember Me"    03/30/02
M and M2 were sitting on my bed.  M2 introduced me to M, but we already knew each other.  Then I realized that M didn't remember who I was.  I reminded him of all the conversations we had.  He didn't seem to remember any of them.  I looked toward M2 for help, but M2 was no longer there.  Diego was sitting in his place.  I realized that a lot of things had changed about M.  I touched his hair.  It was very stiff from styling products.  He had also dyed his hair a copper color, cut it much shorter than it used to be, and he wore glasses now.  I felt very disappointed that he didn't remember anything we had talked about.  I also wasn't too fond of all of the changes he had made to himself.

"Friends Leaving and Meeting New People"    03/28/02
I was staying in a rental house with my family.  Diego came over and brought some of his friends.  Suddenly it was like a huge party.  One of Diego's friends yelled over to Diego, who was talking to me.  The friend said that the party was lame and that there was not enough drinking or drugs.  He and all of the other people left.  Diego left too.  I was very disappointed that Diego would follow that friend in search of drugs and alcohol.  I went outside and met my friend F.  We were in an area that looked like a Japanese garden.  I realized we were at school.  We were looking for a particular room.  During our walk we met my friend Lani, but when I introduced her I said that her name was the same as F's.  She introduced a friend that was with her who's name was something like Solé.  I was hoping that F would become friends with Lani and Solé.

"Another History Lesson"    03/26/02
I went to a class at college, but somehow my younger brother was in the same class with me.  The teacher was an older man with white hair.  He slightly reminded me of the teacher from the TV show Boy Meets World, but this teacher was much nicer and had a friendly Southern drawl.  It was nap time during the class, so everyone got out sleeping bags and blankets.  Some people even brought beds to class.  The teacher turned the lights off and continued lecturing.  He laughed at a student in the back of the room who actually fell asleep.  I thought that it was the teacher's fault that the student fell asleep.  I was the last person to leave at the end of class.  I was packing up my black satin sleeping bag with red hearts on it.  Someone had left a bed in the room with a matching comforter.  The teacher asked if the comforter was mine and then threw it on top of my sleeping bag before I could say the comforter wasn't mine.  I thought maybe the comforter had been my brother's, but I wasn't sure.  I couldn't believe how many people left their things in the middle of the floor.  I talked to the teacher a little.  I told him that I enjoyed his class.  He said that he tried not be asinine.  I said when the teacher is asinine, the classroom is in chaos.  Then a boy walked up to the teacher to talk about a trip to Spain.  The teacher said the boy should fly to Spain and then take the rail back.  The boy needed to write down his plans on some kind of form, but he asked the teacher to do it because he said the teacher's words were more honest.  I wondered why the teacher's words were more honest and how the boy knew that.

"Sleeping Alone"    03/26/02
Karen, her mother, my mother, and I were all sitting in my living room.  Karen's mother began interrogating me.  She asked me if I have friends, if I ever go out, if I have a boyfriend.  The questions didn't really bother me until she asked me if I sleep in my bed alone at night.  That one question caused me to burst into hysterical tears.  I couldn't calm myself after that.  I felt such hatred for Karen's mother.  I was half laughing, half crying when she continued with that line of conversation, but I felt completely miserable.  My father walked through the living room.  I ran over to him, but he couldn't seem to comfort me.

"Shopping for Furniture"    03/26/02
I was shopping for furniture with Diego, Jillian, and Calvin.  We had been in the store for hours.  I was getting tired, so I sat on the floor.  Everyone else came and sat with me.  Calvin laid down near my legs.  It seemed like we were all waiting for something.  A while later Calvin fell asleep.  I wanted to move him away from my legs, but I didn't want to wake him up.

"Hurricane Winds"    03/25/02
There was a very strong hurricane approaching the city in which my family lived.  My mother, brother, and I tried to secure our house before the storm actually hit.  I tried to close the front door, but the wind kept blowing it back open.  For some reason the locks on the door did not seem to be working.  I told my mother that we would have to use duct tape to hold the door shut.  She said we couldn't use tape because it would peel the paint off around the door.  I said we didn't have any other choice.  I got the tape and began sealing the door.

"Annoyed at the Grocery Store"    03/24/02
I went to a store that was a combination grocery store and department store.  I was buying a birthday gift for Jillian.  I picked out a stuffed animal and another item.  I ended up buying six things, two gifts for Jillian, and four items for myself.  I walked over to the dairy section of the store.  There were two parents and their young son.  The son came up to me and put his arms around my waist.  I yelled that I was sunburned and pushed him off of me.  I was very angry that the parents weren't doing a better job of controlling their kid.  I made my purchases and went home.  When I got home I decided that maybe I would want to return a few of the items.  I decided that I wanted to return three of them.  I looked at my receipt, but I noticed that only three of my six items were even on the receipt.  I felt bad that the store had not charged me for the other three.

"The Girl with Copper Hair"    03/24/02
My brother was getting married to a girl with copper colored hair.  Her hair wasn't just red; it was actually metallic looking.  I thought her hair was very beautiful, but I wondered if it was natural or if she had dyed it.  I also wondered what her ethnic background was.  I had never heard of anyone having copper hair before.  On the day of the wedding I was helping her get ready.  I discovered she was wearing a wig.  I felt so disappointed.  I always thought it was so obvious when people wear wigs, but I was fooled.  I wondered if my brother knew that his future wife wore wigs.  Later I wore a wig and saw Calvin.  He didn't know that I was wearing a wig.  I wondered if wigs are actually that discrete or if Calvin was just unobservant.

"Dirty Bathwater"    03/23/02
I was soaking in a bathtub in the dorms with a guy that I know.  There was a shower curtain separating the tub from the rest of the bathroom, but I could hear several other people talking.  I noticed that the bathwater was extremely dirty.  It looked very gray.  Suddenly I pushed the guy I was bathing with against the wall of the tub and kissed him.  I got out of the tub.  I felt completely disgusted.  The tile floor was also very dirty.  Then I heard a girl in the bathroom ask Belinda to name 100,000 of us.  I wondered who the girl meant by us.  Belinda refused to do it; she said she didn't even know 100,000 people.  I wanted to leave the bathroom as quickly as possible.

"Unexpected Visitors"    03/23/02
I went to a Chinese restaurant for dinner.  I ordered a vegetarian meal, but the restaurant only had foods made with meat, so I left.  I was going to go to another restaurant, but I had walked to the first restaurant and the weather was getting stormy.  I went home.  Diego was standing in my yard.  He had his dog with him, which was a very fury Chihuahua.  I told Diego that he should come into my house because it looked like a hurricane was coming.  His dog was running around my yard, so he went to get it.  They both came inside.  My parents were very angry that Diego had brought a dog into the house.

"Evil Andy Griffith"    03/22/02
I was walking through a mall, but it seemed as if I was walking in the opposite direction as everyone else.  I noticed that a lot of mall employees were wearing costumes.  I decided that they must be going to a costume ball.  Lots of them were talking about going out to lunch together.  I spotted Diego.  He informed me that he was dressed as Andy Griffith, although I thought he looked more like the cowboy from the movie Toy Story.  We talked for a minute.  He asked me what I was holding in my hands.  I told him it was a stone koala that I had gotten years ago when my family was on vacation.  He asked if he could hold it.  I said he could, but I asked him to be careful because it was one of my favorite possessions.  He took the koala into his hands and then purposefully threw it down onto a metal grate.  The koala broke into several pieces, which fell through the grate.  I felt completely betrayed by Diego's actions.  I yelled at him, but he seemed to be indifferent about the whole situation.

"Calling a Friend"    03/22/02
I was on vacation with my family.  My mother, father, and I were all sleeping in the living room of the condo we were renting.  I woke up and decided that I urgently needed to call a friend.  I dialed the number, which was 637-1555.  I thought this would be my friend's home phone number, but it turned out to be his cell phone number.  I told him that I didn't have anything important to say; I was just calling to hear his voice.  He told me that I had woken him up.  I looked over at the clock.  It was 6:39 a.m.  I apologized profusely.  I felt so crazy for calling someone so early in the morning.

"Made with Real Velveeta"    03/21/02
I went shopping with my father.  We walked into a store that sold used men's clothing.  My father picked up a pair of green sweatpants  He was debating if they were his size.  I looked at the tag and told him it was a small.  The thought of buying used sweatpants repulsed me.  The clerk in the store was very rude and not so helpful.  My mother and I walked to an area of the store that sold groceries.  My mother was going to buy cheese "made with real Velveeta", or at least that's what the label claimed.  I told my mother that Velveeta isn't real; it's mostly chemicals.  She looked at the label and said my father could eat it because it was low in carbohydrates.  I looked at the calories.  There were 313 calories per serving.  I told my mother that I was never going to eat that.  I decided to buy real cheese.

"Montell Jordan is Clueless"    03/19/02
Montell Jordan (the R&B singer) was giving a concert in what appeared to be a very large airplane hangar.  During the last song he asked everyone if he should crowd surf.  The audience said he should, so he jumped off the stage.  As people passed him around he kissed most of the girls in the audience.  Afterwards most of the people left, but there was one girl who was waiting for Montell.  She told him that the concert was really good.  She also mentioned that she was going to have a drink and invited him along.  Montell didn't seem to realize that the girl was interested in him.  He told a couple of lame jokes, and then I realized that he was interested in her, but the girl didn't realize it.  I also thought it was weird that the girl was so similar to him.  She seemed to be almost as tall as he was or possibly taller.  Montell Jordan is 6' 8".  I wondered why the two of them just couldn't openly admit they were interested in each other and move on with their lives.  It seemed like every aspect of this conversation after the concert was sexual, yet neither one would admit it.

"New Rooms and Roommates"    03/18/02
My father was helping me move into a new apartment.  There were some other people who already lived in the four bedroom apartment.  Everyone was going to choose a new bedroom.  The bedrooms were labeled 1-4.  Room 1 was for two people.  It was the largest room.  Room 2 was the next largest room.  It was only for one person.  Room 3 was very small.  It was nestled between the living room and kitchen in an area that looked like it should have been a dining room.  Room 4 was in the attic.  There was a pull-down rope ladder to get to that room.  It was tiny.  I decided that I couldn't live in room 4 because I'm afraid of heights.  I also decided that I didn't want to live in room 1 because I didn't want to have a roommate.  Everyone lined up and said which room they wanted.  The first girl said she wanted to move into room 1.  Then I said I wanted to move into room 2.  The next girl said she wanted to move into room 3.  I was happy that I didn't get stuck with that room.  It seemed as if it would be difficult to sleep there if the roommates got up early and cooked breakfast.  The entire group decided that no one could actually live in room 4, so the last roommate, a guy would have to pick one of the other rooms.  I assumed he would have to live in room 1 because it was large enough for two people.  It was taking him a long time to decide.  I realized that he could move into my room because my room was also large.  I wondered if my father would be upset if the guy chose to move into my room with me.

"Finding Romeo"    03/17/02
My mother and I were staying at someone else's house.  That person wasn't there.  It was very late at night, but my mother kept telling me that I needed to hurry and get ready to go.  I asked her where we were going.  She said I had to go to meet Romeo.  I didn't know anyone named Romeo, but the thought of meeting him made me feel both happy and nervous.

"Unpaid Internship"    03/14/02
I went to my usual classes.  Surprisingly, my usual classes were not that usual.  Each classroom had a different theme and was run by computers.  The professor was simply a computer-generated avatar.  I didn't feel like I was learning very much.  In one of my classes I just had to lie in bed and watch a video.  I did that.  There was an older woman in the room with me who was also watching the video.  My history professor walked into the room at the end of the video.  She pointed out that the video was supposedly taken at a family's home.  I told her that the video was obviously shot at a dorm which was made to look like a home.  She talked about a project that she was working on.  I offered some advice to her.  Her project involved questions about dating and drugs.  I told her that the first person I dated was a friend when we were in kindergarten.  I told a story about climbing trees with him and realizing that the flowers on the trees were actually made of plastic.  The professor told me that she wanted me to help with her project.  She told me to walk around campus and find out what people think about love and how drugs affect love.  She also said that I needed to find out how students market drugs.  The professor claimed that helping her with this project would be like having an unpaid internship.  I thought that I needed to finish the report by the end of the afternoon, but I later realized it was due Monday.  She told me she would start looking for me if I hadn't come to her office by noon on Monday.  I walked around campus.  There was a girl from one of my classes who was telling a friend that she had never had a boyfriend because drugs ruined her life.  She said that all of her friends were already having children and she felt alone.  I felt sad for her.  She was way too young to feel that she should be having children.  I also felt guilty for eavesdropping on such an important conversation.

"Interesting Flight"    03/10/02
My mother and I were flying somewhere, but we were unable to get seats beside each other on the plane.  I was surprised when we entered the plane because it seemed huge.  The seats were not regular airplane seats.  They looked like the seats in movie theaters.  For some reason I was sitting in a row of about six seats with no one else sitting near me.  I wondered why my mother couldn't have sat beside me when the seats were empty.  Carmen Electra was our flight attendant, but she wasn't wearing the typical uniform.  She was wearing jeans and a t-shirt.  A woman came over to my row with a baby in a stroller.  She asked me if she could leave the baby near me.  I said she could, but she parked the stroller on my foot.  She apologized and moved it, but the baby was still very close to me.  The mother left.  I wondered why the mother was leaving her baby.  The flight attendant seemed fascinated by the baby.  I asked her what was so special about the kid.  She said that all of the other passengers on the flight were women; the baby was the only male passenger.

"Attacked by a Stranger"    03/10/02
I was in a New England city.  It was very cold wherever I was.  I was with Danny from The Real World, New Orleans on MTV.  We were standing in a line in the middle of the street.  I'm not exactly what we were waiting for.  A teenage boy came up to me and began tapping me on the shoulder.  The line moved up, so Danny and I walked forward.  The boy followed us and continued tapping my shoulder.  I screamed at him to stop and shoved him away.  He came back and continued tapping.  I ran to a group of people standing nearby.  I screamed that the boy was trying to attack me.  I noticed that one of the people in the group was Bill Cosby.  Then I saw a police officer walking by, so I ran to him and asked him to help me.  He didn't seem to be very concerned.  I eventually walked home, which was weird because I was in New England, yet I walked home to Florida.  I told my parents about what had happened to me.  They seemed indifferent.  I couldn't believe that even my own parents didn't seem to care what happened to me.

"Cafeteria Trip"    03/08/02
I woke up from a nap in my dorm room.  I looked at the clock and saw that it was 7:50 pm.  I realized that the dining hall closed at 8:00, so I decided to walk downstairs and get something to eat before it closed.  I heard Jillian behind me somewhere on the stairs.  I wanted to hurry and go to the cafeteria because I really didn't feel like talking to her.  I passed F who was walking upstairs.  I could hear Jillian ask F where I was.  F said that I had just walked by.  I was having trouble with the stairs because the lower flights had very small entrances.  I had to contort just to continue walking down the stairs.  Jillian caught up with me.  We went to the cafeteria together, although I really wish I had been alone.  I went to a bar area, but the man working there didn't want to let me have any food.  I asked him if I could have a sandwich.  He said I could, but then he diced all of the ingredients that would have made my sandwich.

"Experimental Toy Store"    03/08/02
I was at a mall with my father.  The mall was entirely white inside and it was very brightly lit.  This particular mall seemed much more beautiful than an average mall.  I said that I wanted to go to the toy store.  We walked into a giant store.  The toy store was also brightly lit, but it had dark blue carpet and black walls.  Children were running around the store.  I saw a huge display of strange items and told my father that children are allowed to experiment inside the store.  My father said he thought that was nice.  I left my father and decided that I would experiment with the display.

"Stolen Credit Card"    03/07/02
I decided to stop by a small gift store on my way home.  I didn't realize that Diego worked there.  I chose a board game and a toy for my cats and went to the register.  I handed Diego my credit card.  I saw him put my credit card into his wallet.  I couldn't believe that he would do such a thing.  He was supposed to be my friend.  After he had put my purchases in a plastic shopping bag I asked for my credit card back.  He claimed that he had already given me my card.  I said that I knew he had taken it.  He refused to give it back.  I went home and then called the store.  I was finally able to speak to a manager.  I screamed at him for hiring such bad employees.

"Drive to Nowhere"    03/06/02
It was a rainy night. I was home, so I called Ms. Huntington at school.  I am not sure why I called her.  Another professor answered the phone and said that Ms. Huntington was busy teaching.  I left a message that I was just returning her call.  I hoped that she wouldn't call me back.  I decided to go out with Calvin and M.  I got into Calvin's car.  He was driving what appeared to be an ancient Lincoln Towncar.  M was sitting in the front passenger seat.  The back of the car had seats arranged like a van.  My mother, brother, grandfather, and cousin were there.  I also saw two women that I didn't know.  When I got into the car I accidentally closed a door that passed between the two front seats.  M laughed and folded down the top part of the door.  It didn't seem as if we were going somewhere specific.  I think we were just driving around.  Calvin pulled into a driveway.  Everyone got out of the car except for me, my cousin, and my grandfather.  My grandfather got into the front seat to drive.  He asked us how to get to our houses.  My cousin and I lived in the same neighborhood.  I thought my cousin should be taken home first, but she told my grandfather to go to my house first.  I couldn't find my house in the dark.  My grandfather decided to drive to the corner of the street and then drive the entire length of the street until he found my house.  We ended up at a hotel's indoor valet area before we got to the street corner.  I realized it was connected to my dorm.  I got out of the car and went into the building.  The hall was so beautiful.  The flooring was light colored wood and the walls were painted emerald.  There were workers who were washing the floors.  I got out my key chain attachment that I needed to scan in order to be allowed to walk down the hall.  Somehow the barcode had come unglued.  The workers were very nice.  I began talking to some of them in Spanish and explaining my problem.  They were so nice to me.  The one guy that I had been talking to gave me a new key chain attachment.  Another worker asked if I would need it to get into my room.  Everyone agreed that I didn't.  She came over and looked at the old attachment.  She tried to determine the code number that indicated the size, but that was missing.  I asked her if she was a student at the school.  She said she used to be.  I said I thought we had been in a class together.  I took the new attachment and for some reason began walking out of the building.

"My Mother's Homework"    03/06/02
I visited my mother at her apartment.  She lived there alone.  I noticed that she seemed to be very worried.  I asked her what was bothering her.  She said she needed to work on her English homework.  Apparently she was taking classes at a local college.  She got out her planner.  It was a mess.  She said she forgot to write down where the reading assignment ended.  I asked her if she could read past what was required.  She said she couldn't.  I suggested that she call her teacher.  My mother said that she didn't have his phone number.  I dialed the number for a school information hotline.  My mother spoke to the operator there.  The operator gave my mother a phone number in Atlanta.  My mother told me that her professor obviously hadn't updated his contact information since the last time he moved.  I wondered if the school officials actually realized that he was a teacher at their school.  I felt so sorry for my mother.  It seemed as if everything in her life was falling apart.

"Playing with Balloons"    03/06/02
I was in a large carpeted room.  Mr. York was organizing a game involving lots of balloons, which were already scattered across the floor.  Ursula and I talked a little bit.  The game involved running around the room and kicking the balloons.  The object was to hit another person with the balloons.  Ursula complained.  I kicked the balloons, which appeared to be perfectly spherical, but the balloons didn't go very far.  Everyone else seemed to have no problem with this game.  I tried to run after my balloon and kick it again, but I couldn't seem to run fast enough to catch it.  Mr. York made fun of me.  I left and met Ferula and another friend.  Ferula was her usual perky self.  The other friend and I had something similar to a swordfight with balloons.  I was holding my balloon by the bottom where it was tied.  That part broke off.  I wondered how the balloon was till holding air.  Mr. York announced that it was time to clean up.  Everyone began popping balloons and picking up the pieces.  I was unable to pop my balloon, despite my long fingernails.  Mr. York made a joke about all the balloons being around my feet.  I felt so disappointed.

"A Graceful Death"    03/04/02
I watched as a very old woman stood on the porch of her wooden house.  The house appeared to be floating on water.  The woman squinted through the moonlit darkness to see another woman approaching in a rowboat.  The elderly woman looked concerned until the person in the rowboat came into focus.  Then a very peaceful look came over her face.  The person in the boat was playing some type of woodwind instrument.  The woman kneeled on her porch and closed her eyes.  I knew that she was dying and that the woman in the boat was death.  It was so beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time.  I cried as I watched.  This would have been such a beautiful dream, except that I noticed that the kneeling woman was wearing a purple Turbie Twist as seen in TV informercials.

"Lights Out and Escaped Lizards"    03/04/02
I woke up from a late-night nap. I walked into my bathroom, but neither of the two light switches inside seemed to be working.  I asked my mother if we had extra light bulbs in the house.  She told me that I didn't need to replace the bulbs; I just needed to let the lights "warm up".  I went back to my room.  My lights were not working either.  I realized that my lizard was loose.  It was sitting on my bed.  Suddenly M IMed me.  The IM appeared on the side of my bed.  Somehow I responded, although there did not seem to be a computer.  I told M about my escaped lizard.  My cat Skyla jumped onto my bed.  She and the lizard were fighting.  I pushed Skyla away.  I curled up in bed with the lizard.  Later I noticed that the lizard was on my desk chair where Skyla normally is.  Skyla tried to fight the lizard again.  I went back to my bed to see if M had IMed me again.  He hadn't.  I wondered where he had gone.  Finally, I put the lizard back in its aquarium.

"Babysitting and Shopping"    03/04/02
I had to baby-sit Jillian's younger brother and sister.  I took them to a mall, but they were so rambunctious.  I couldn't wait until Jillian came to pick them up.  The kids touched everything in every store and ran around yelling.  Finally Jillian met us.  She asked how they had been.  I didn't have the heart to tell her that her siblings were awful.  She took them and left the mall.  I continued shopping.  I saw Zara and two of her friends.  I hadn't seen Zara in a while.  She looked like she had gained a lot of weight.  She and her friends asked me how it was to baby-sit Jillian's siblings.  I told them how the kids misbehaved and that I was glad it was over.  Zara and her friends laughed.  They said that they would never volunteer to do it.  We all continued shopping together.

"Late for Class"    03/03/02
I was at a school that looked like my old high school, but it was actually a college.  One of my classes had just ended.  I tried to walk to my next class, but I could not seem to remember which room the class was in.  I checked my backpack for the paper with my schedule written on it, but the paper was not there.  I knew that my class was either in room 105, 205, or 305.  That should have made finding my class easy, but I could not find room 305.  The rooms skipped from room 302 to 310.  I saw my mother as I continued looking for the room.  She and I sat at a table and talked for a few minutes.  I told her that I was going to be late for class.  She told me where the classroom was.  I walked in 10 minutes late.  The professor was having people count off and get into groups.  She skipped over me during the counting.  I walked up to her later and told her that I did not have a group.  She gave me a choice of being in one of two groups.  I asked who was in the groups.  I chose the group with Ferula.  I went and sat with my group.  There were seven other people in the group.  Ferula greeted me way too enthusiastically.  I was annoyed.

"Abusing the Cats    03/02/02
My family was staying in a hotel with our cats.  We had two cats in addition to Skyla, Zenith, and Fluff.  One cat was an older female that was very peaceful and the other was a young male with a mean personality similar to Skyla's.  My family was leaving the hotel, but we had so many things to put in the car.  It seemed like we wouldn't have room for the cats in the car.  My parents suggested that we leave the cats behind.  I felt so depressed.

"Dangerous Driving"    03/02/02
My mother and I were driving on I-95.  My mother didn't seem to know where we were going, although we were on our way back from somewhere, so I assumed she could just go back the way we came.  I gave her instructions on where we needed to go.  She stopped the car in the middle lane of I-95 while other cars sped past us at 65 mph.  I was afraid that we were going to get hit.  I began yelling as loud as I could.  My mother just sat still.  She appeared shocked.  I continued screaming until I began to lose my voice, yet my mother did not begin driving again.
